Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is expanding its footprint in Tucson, opening its second restaurant next month on East River and North Craycroft roads and a third in late September in Oro Valley.
No opening date has been released for either, a company spokeswoman said.
Kneaders, a European-style scratch bakery and restaurant, opened its first Tucson location in July 2015 at 135 S. Wilmot Road. The 3,600-square-foot River Road location has been in the works for a year; construction of the Oro Valley restaurant on North Oracle Road and Linda Vista Boulevard is set to begin, according to town planning department officials.
Kneaders, founded in 1997 in Utah, serves artisan soups, sandwiches, salads and baked goods, all made in-house.
