Tucson Real Estate: Biotech firm moves to Foothills

An international biotech startup company has moved to Tucson, joining the growing industry in Southern Arizona.

3dbiosurfaces Technologies LLC leased space at the Top of Swan Professional Offices, at the northeast corner of Swan Road and Skyline Drive, from Swan Skyline Plaza LLC.

Bob Davis, associate broker and partner of Tango Commercial Real Estate, represented the tenant in the 667-square-foot lease.

3dbiosurfaces is developing a patented, low-cost diagnostic tool used for genetic testing in the healthcare industry.

“3dbiosurfaces Technologies LLC joins … Southern Arizona, adding to the diagnostics-related enterprises establishing a presence in the area due in part to the available talent, support resources and lifestyle opportunities of our region,” Davis said.

Other recent commercial transactions include:

• Comfort Systems USA Inc. leased 5,954 square feet at 2010 N. Forbes Blvd. from Tucson North Forbes Ventures LLC. Ron Zimmerman, with Picor, represented the landlord, and Keith Lammersen, with Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc., representing the tenant.
• Kaneen Advertising & Public Relations leased 4,395 square feet at the Pioneer Office Building, 100 N. Stone Ave. The landlord was represented by David Volk and Bruce Suppes, with CBRE, and the tenant was represented by Tom Nieman, with Cushman & Wakefield.
• Gospel Supplies leased 4,240 square feet in Broadway Center, 5640 E. Broadway, from Broadway Craycroft LLC. Greg Furrier, with Picor, handled the transaction.
• G4S Secure Solutions Inc. leased 3,652 square feet at 7400 N. Oracle Road from Northwest Corporate Centre. Isaac Figueroa, with Picor, represented the tenant, and Dan Wesson, with The Waterfall Group LLC, represented the landlord.
• Southwest Dance Academy LLC leased 3,477 square feet at 4165 W. Ina Road from Tin Cup Properties LLC, dba Regency Plaza. Ron Zimmerman, with Picor, represented the landlord.
• Wilmot Professional Plaza, on Wilmot Road just south of Grant Road, has added two new tenants. Borden Physical Therapy leased 2,280 square feet, and Coronado Internal Medicine leased 2,400 square feet. Andy Seleznov and Melissa Lal represented the landlord, Larsen Baker. Borden was represented by Alan Moore, of Chapman Lindsey, and Coronado was represented by Andrew Sternberg, of Oxford Realty.
• Blue Ice Gelato LLC leased 1,200 square feet at Ventana Village, on the southwest corner of Sunrise Drive and Kolb Road. David Hammack, of Volk Co. Commercial Real Estate, represented the tenant, Westwood Financial Corp.
• Wolffmeister LLC, dba Glockmeister, leased 1,200 square feet at 3305 N. Swan Road in the Shops at Camp Lowell at the northwest corner of Swan Road and Camp Lowell Drive. David Hammack, of Volk Co. Commercial Real Estate, represented the tenant, and David Dutson, of NAI Horizon, represented the landlord, Camp Lowell I LLC.
