Despite lacking direct UofA ties, the longtime NFL and college assistant coach is deemed the right man to rescue the Wildcats.
Jedd Fisch isn’t working for football’s most successful franchise any longer. He’s working for Arizona president Robert C. Robbins, who, in the middle of a global pandemic, found time to steer the selection of another Wildcats football coach.
UofA choose the longtime NFL and college assistant coach over San Jose State's Brent Brennan.
Former Wildcats tweeted their reactions after the UA hired Jedd Fisch to be the football program's next head coach.
Fisch, the former quarterbacks coach of the New England Patriots, will make more in base pay than Kevin Sumlin did in his first two years, receive more money to hire assistant coaches.
Grant Gunnell, who left Arizona after Kevin Sumlin's dismissal, is leaving the UA and will reportedly transfer to Memphis.
