Charro Steak opening NW Tucson location

Downtown Tucson’s Charro Steak is opening a sister location on the northwest side.

Nine years after it launched downtown, Charro Steak is opening a second location, this one on the northwest side.

But Charro Steak North won’t have as extensive a seafood menu like its downtown sister, Charro Steak & del Rey, but it will some menu items, like a raw oyster bar and seafood towers.

The Sonoran-inspired steakhouse, part of the Si Charro restaurant group that includes El Charro and The Monica, is expected to open in early August at 7109 N. Oracle Road, near West Ina Road.

Charro Steak North’s menu will borrow seafood elements from the Del Rey menu, Si Charro President Ray Flores said. The menu will mirror the downtown Charro Steak’s grass-fed steaks and burgers and expansive cocktail options.

“I think people want a simply stated message,” Flores said. “Charro Steak says what it is and does what it says.”

Charro Steak North will be hiring for all positions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through Saturday.
