Serial Grillers started out as a food truck that parked in front of an old gas station at 7889 E. 22nd Street.

Serial Grillers, the TucsonΒ pizza spot that's getting some killer praise from TV shows and national magazines, plans to open its second location in January on the northeast corner of River Road and La Cholla Boulevard. Β

The concept started out in 2012 as a food truck serving morbidly-themed sandwiches, but now has a restaurant and 40-handle taproom atΒ 5737 E. Speedway. The new shop will go into a 2,274 square-footΒ space at the River Crossing shopping center at 1970 W. River Road, suite 100. It will feature the same menu as the original location, with 25 different beer taps.Β

Serial Grillers has been gaining steam both locally and nationally. In 2013 it was named one of the 25 coolest food trucks in the US by Forbes magazine. Shortly after, brothers Travis and William Miller were also featured on the Food Network show "Eat St.," where they prepared a Psycho Cheesesteak with jalapeno and pepperjack cheese.

They restaurant does also have some crazy burgers, which you can see on its Instagram page ...

Jigsaw Burger with prosciutto and smoked Gouda

Joe Carroll burger with onion rings and habanero barbecue sauce

Chucky burger with jalapeΓ±o poppers and fried onions
