The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block is dedicating a whole month to celebrating the history of the J. Knox Corbett House, with extended hours, special programs and events.

Built in 1907 in Mission Revival style architecture, the house has become an important part of the Tucson Museum of Art, offering visitors a glimpse into the daily life of the Corbett family.

Corbett House Days takes place from July 26 to August 26, featuring the following events.

Corbett House Days Daily Tours

Docent-led tours at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays through Sundays and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays. Tours are free with museum admission.

Free First Thursday: Corbett House by Twilight

Every First Thursday the museum and historic properties are free from 5 to 8 p.m.

Enjoy a special twilight tour of the Corbett House on Aug. 4 at 6 p.m., followed by live music by Michael Rondstadt at 7 p.m. on the porch.

Restore + Celebrate: Corbett House

The first of a new series of events focused on building the museum’s Historic Block Restoration Fund. It starts off with a champagne toast on the grounds of the Corbett House, then dinner catered by Cafe a la C’Art inside the museum lobby, with live music and a presentation on the J. Knox Corbett House by Christine Brinsza, Glasser Curator of Art of the American West. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 and costs $50 per person. Call 624-2333, Ext. 111 to purchase tickets.
