This year, festival organizers worked closely with a few groups to highlight community traditions.

- Mideastern Traditional Dance and Music, 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1 p.m. Sunday on the Global Rhythms Stage.
- Waila and Tohono Culture Showcase, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday on the Church Street Stage.
- Gabriel Ayala Quintent 8:30 to 10 p.m. Friday on the Church Street Stage.
- Global Carnival, 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday on the Church Street Stage.
- Old Time Music, 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday on the City Hall Stage.
