The Flandrau Science Center at the University of Arizona, the folks who bring you space up close, will host Board Game Day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16 with special guest, University of Arizona professor Dante Lauretta.

Says Sipherd Reed, Flandrau’s marketing manager: “Board games are a great way to bring the family together over the holidays, so we’re encouraging our visitors to put down their phones and play.”

Lauretta is known as the leader of OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission, and he’s also a game designer. He will be on hand to play games and sign copies of the two educational games he designed: Xtronaut: The Game of Solar System Exploration and Constellations: The Game of Stargazing and the Night Sky.
