Arizona Friends of Chamber Music has launched a summer concert series that kicks off Wednesday, May 3, with the University of Arizona Graduate String Quartet.

It is the first of three summer series concerts that includes Tucson pianist Alexander Tentser July 5 and violinist Tim Kantor on Sept. 5. Performances are in the intimate space of Sea of Glass, 332 E. Seventh St., and tickets are $25 through arizonachambermusic.org or at the door.

Wednesday's series opener begins at 7 p.m. and features the graduate quartet β€” Stella Kim and Grace Kawamura on violin; violist Tiezheng Shen; and cellist Diana Chiknaikin β€” performing Prokofiev's String Quartet No. 2 in F major and Beethoven's String Quartet in E-flat Major β€œHarp.”
