Classical music is hosting the Fourth International Tucson Guitar Festival featuring the internationally renowned Grammy-winning Assad Brothers from Brazil.

The festival opens Saturday with a doctoral student recital and continues through Nov. 19 at the University of Arizona School of Music, North Park Avenue and East Speedway.

Performances include the finals for the popular Beeston Guitar Competition, a concert by Sergio and Odair Assad, and recital by the critically acclaimed Chilean guitarist Carlos Pérez along with workshops, lectures, and masterclasses.

The festival is a co-production of the UA School of Music, the Tucson Guitar Society and the D'Addario Foundation. Tickets are available through tickets.arizona.edu
