John Shryock and Mari Lynn take a break from their cruise line act to appear at the Gaslight Theatre at 7 p.m. Monday.

John Shryock can make his wife/magic partner Mari Lynn literally disappear before your eyes.

Or can he?

It's magic.

And it's thoroughly entertaining when the Tucson magicians take to the stage for an evening of mind-boggling trickery.

Shryock and his wife have made things float in the air and disappear on stages throughout the U.S., Europe and Canada, and have appeared on the TV series "Masters of Illusion."

These days, the pair sail the high seas aboard the Royal Caribbean Hawaiian Cruise line, where Shryock performs as the ship's master magician.

But you don't have to book a cruise to see the Tucson-based couple in action. They will headline a show at Gaslight Theatre, 7010 E. Broadway, at 7 p.m. Monday.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $11 for children at the Gaslight, 886-9428.
