The Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus is holding auditions May 17 for new members to help out with several big concerts next season.

Now in its 13th year, the professional chorus will have starring roles in three TSO concerts during the 2015-16 season: Handel’s "Messiah" Dec. 12 and 13; "The Magic of Christmas" Dec. 19 and 20; and Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana" March18 and 20.

To apply, you should have basic musicianship and be able to adapt to various repertoire. Be ready to sing an art song, aria, folk song or hymn and have two choral excerpts prepared before you arrive. You can download the excerpts from the orchestra's website, and an accompanist will be provided.
