All is not happy in Beach Boys land.

The surf rockers, fully reunited and on the road to celebrate their 50th anniversary, are splitting up.

Mike Love, who owns the name, announced on Thursday that once the band finishes its dates in the UK today, the post-50th anniversary band will no longer need the services of founding members Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, and longtime Beach Boy David Marks.

In a statement published Thursday, Love announced, “The 50th Reunion Tour was designed to be a set tour with a beginning and an end to mark a special 50-year milestone for the band."

The London Telegraph reported that the exiting Beach Boys will be replaced by the group's longtime backing band, which includes Love's son Christian. No other reason was given.

Wilson was reportedly blindsided by the announcement.

“I’m disappointed and can’t understand why he (Love) doesn't want to tour with Al, David and me," he told CNN. "We are out here having so much fun. After all, we are the real Beach Boys."

According to Rolling Stone, Love has been booking shows with his version of the Beach Boys since June.

The Beach Boys opened their landmark 50th anniversary tour at Tucson’s Casino del Sol AVA on April 24. The show sold out.

In an interview a few weeks before the show, Wilson predicted the band members were “all going to like each other and we’re going to have a good time.”

But when asked if the reunion marked a new chapter for the tumultuous band, Wilson said he would have to wait and see how the tour played out.

The 50th anniversary tour is the first time Wilson has joined the band on the road in 46 years.

The Beach Boys final 50th anniversary tour concert is tonight in London's Wembley Arena. It might also mark the final time anyone will see the Beach Boys with founding members in tow.
