Kingfisher Bar & Grill kicks off its 2015 "Road Trip" Friday with a tour close to home.

The Southwest Tour, which runs now through June 3 at the restaurant, 2564 E, Grant Road, starts off with spicy pork empanadas or seafood albondigas soup, both of which pair nicely with the pulled, smoked pork tamale that is among the entree choices. Everything is served a la carte with prices ranging from $8.50 to $10 for appetizers and $18 to $26 for entrees.

Other destinations this summer:

• June 4 through June 15: Pacific Northwest curated by Executive Chef Fred Harris.

• June 18 through June 30: Great Plains/Midwest created by Chef Owner Jeff Azersky.

• July 15 to Aug. 3: - California/Hawaii as imagined by Chef Owner Jim Murphy.

• Aug 4 to Aug. 19: Heading Back East with Harris at the wheel.

• Aug. 20 to Sept. 6: Azersky travels Down South as a grande finale.

Kingfisher will be closed from July 1 to 15. Hours: 11 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Fridays; 5 p.m. to midnight Saturdays and Sundays.
