There's going to be some mad chicken frying going on at the corner of Wilmot and Broadway next month.

That's when the national Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers will open its first Tucson restaurant. Proceeds from opening day Nov. 13 will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, according to company officials.

The Tucson location, atΒ 6352 E. Broadway, on the corner of South Wilmot Road, will be the Louisiana-based company's 10th Arizona outpost. Nine other Raising Cane's are operating in the Phoenix area and another is coming in 2016 to Flagstaff, company officials said.

Raising Cane's joins a hot corner of newly constructed fast-casual dining that includesΒ Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, which opened in mid-July on the Wilmot Road side of the corner, at 135 S. Wilmot. A 5,000-square-foot standalone Corner Bakery Cafe is under construction next door to Kneaders. No opening date has been announced.

Raising Cane's menu is centered on the ubiquitous kids' favorite chicken fingers and fries. They serve the deep-fried crispy fingers in baskets, bunches and on sandwiches. Β Β

Raising Cane's will be open from 9 a.m. to midnight daily. It is expected to hire at least 50 people.Β
