V Fine Thai Cuisine at 9 E. Congress St. will be closed for lunch through Tuesday as it revamps its lunch menu, according to a note that arrived by email Monday (and is also posted on the restaurant's website).
When it reopens, V will offer more affordable counter service, and put an emphasis on pho soup - which in Thailand is served with Thai basil, according to the website.
V will continue to offer Thai lunch combos and access to dinner menu items - time-permitting.
Owner Vila Jarrell could not be reached by deadline Tuesday.
V remains open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Lunch is served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
