A Southern Arizona winery has gotten some big kudos from the Los Angeles Times, after it was named one of "five to try" in 2017.

Dos Cabezas WineWorks, which opened in 1995, is located in one of the state's two designated American Viticulture Areas (the other is in Wilcox.)

And although it's gotten its fare share of attention over the years, this February mention in the L.A. Times's Daily Dish column is a pretty big deal.

The column, "Make 2017 your best wine year ever," encourages readers to get outside their California wine comfort zone and try something from another state.

Dos Cabezas is mentioned alongside Caduceus Cellars, which is located in Jerome.
