Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 — three days of remembering the dead in individual ways. Starting off with Halloween on Oct. 31, this is the good spirited day to honor the dead with costumes, pumpkins, candies and haunting items. Next, All Saints’ Day, Nov. 1: Some believe this day is dedicated to those who are in heaven. Lastly, All Souls’ Day, Nov. 2, is thought to be a day of prayer for those who have died but have not yet reached heaven. This is also known traditionally as Dia de Los Muertos. Each day has unique significance and celebrations. The following events are designed to help you get into the spirit.
