SASO opens 2018-19 season Saturday
Taiwanese-born pianist Sandra Wright Shen is finally performing her encore with the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra this weekend. er Arturo MΓ‘rquezβs Afro-Cuban-inspired βConga del Fuego Nuevoβ and his DanzΓ³n No. 2, largely regarded as one of the most popular and most played contemporary Mexican orchestral works.
SASO Musyyyerner programmed the orchestra version of Claude Debussyβs poetry-inspired Petite Suite, originally composed for piano four hands; and Carlos ChΓ‘vezβs exhilaratingly playful βSinfonΓa India.β
