Singer-songwriter Ben Folds will headline the Concert for Civility on Jan. 15 at the Fox Tucson Theatre. The event supports anti-bullying and mental-health awareness programs.

Tickets go on sale today for the second annual Concert for Civility.

Singer-songwriter Ben Folds headlines the Jan. 15 concert at the Fox Tucson Theatre with local acts Calexico, Mariachi Luz de Luna, Salvador Duran, the Silver Thread Trio and Mitzi Cowell and friends featuring Sabra Faulk.

The concert is a major fundraiser for the Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding, established by Ron Barber and his family to raise money for anti-bullying and mental-health awareness programs. Barber started the fund after the Jan. 8 Tucson shootings that left six dead and 13 injured, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and Barber, her district director, who was shot while standing next to her.

The inaugural Concert for Civility last March featured 15 acts including David Crosby, Jennifer Warnes, Graham Nash and headliners Jackson Browne and Alice Cooper. It raised $153,000 from ticket sales.

The fund is administered through the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, which coordinates several fundraising efforts that came out of the Jan. 8 shootings.

Tickets for the Jan. 15 concert start at $30 for balcony seats and run as high as $75 for VIP seats that include a reception with Folds and Calexico. They are available at 10 a.m. today at the Fox Theatre Tucson Box Office, 17 W. Congress St. or online at foxtucsontheatre.ticketforce.com
