"Going thru TSA @ San Angelo airport & it took highly trained agents 15 min. to find this weapon in my backpack," comedian Jo Koy tweeted last week, flashing a pocket bottle opener in a photo he posted on the social-network site.

It is quintessential Koy - one man's utility tool is another's weapon of choice.

Koy, 39, plays a show at the Fox Tucson Theatre on Sunday, his first in Tucson since he swung through here with Carlos Mencia in 2006. The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Fox, 17 W. Congress St.

What you'll hear: He mines his Filipino-American heritage, his 7-year-old son and his mother for much of his comedy. "I get my kid for a week. I always bring him back five days early. 'He's broken.' "

What you'll pay: $27 and $54 through www.fox tucsontheatre.org

See him on the tube: He's now a regular on E!'s "Chelsea Lately" talk show.

See him online: jokoy.com

All in a name: Joseph Herbert is his birth name, but his family nicknamed him Jo Koy, which is a colloquial Filipino term for joker.
