Austin Counts has a date with Guy Fieri's "Guy's Grocery Games" next season.

Tucson sandwich guru and blues singer-songwriter Austin Counts is about to make his national television debut.

Counts, who owns the popular 4th Avenue Deli sandwich shop on North Fourth Avenue, will appear next season in a sandwich edition of "Guy’s Grocery Games" on Food Network. No air date was released.

In a Facebook post, Counts teased: "Guess who’s going to be a contestant on the next season of Guy’s Grocery Games on Food Network! I’ll be working my magic on their upcoming deli/sandwich episode! #guysgrocerygames #sandwiches #delilife."

"Guy's Grocery Games" pits four chefs competing in a three-round elimination to see who can gather up ingredients in host Guy Fieri's "Flavortown Market" and meet the celebrity chef's cooking challenge for cash prizes.

Fieri also hosts "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," which has filmed several times in Tucson.
