Chicago rockers Fall Out Boy โ€” Patrick Stump, Joe Trohman, Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley โ€” are coming to the Tucson Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 26, with Machine Gun Kelly and L.I.F.T.

Some might find it hard to believe, but Chicago product Fall Out Boy waited 17 years to headline their hometown Wrigley Field.

Apparently a highlight of the show came when the band, which is touring with Machine Gun Kelly and L.I.F.T., sang โ€œLake Effect Kidโ€ off the bandโ€™s just released three-song eponymous EP. The song is about growing up in Chicago.

Fall Out Boy brings its Mania tour to Tucson Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 26. Itโ€™s a safe bet that โ€œLake Effect Kidโ€ will not resonate as much in Tucson as it did in Chicago. Not many people here have a concept of lake effect, the harsh, cold winds that come off the Great Lakes, often bringing with it awesome snow storms. That rarely happens in Chicago, but the winds are a real thing.

Wednesdayโ€™s show at the arena, 260 S. Church Ave., starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $28 to $68 through ticketmaster.com.

The American leg of Fall Out Boyโ€™s Mania tour follows extensive touring throughout Europe and Asia.

The U.S. tour runs through mid-October.
