Cirque de Soleil is bringing its popular "Corteo" show to Tucson Arena next April.

Tickets, starting at $40, go on sale here on Friday, Oct. 19, for the April 3-7, 2019, run at the arena, 260 S. Church Ave. Cirque will perform "Corteo" seven times over those five days including matinees on Saturday and Sunday.Β

Cirque premiered "Corteo" in 2005 and it quickly became the Montreal, Canada, company's most popular and successful show.Β

"CortΓ©o" β€” Italian for procession β€” was a contemporary circus show performed under a big top. The story centers on a clown who watches his own funeral occurring in a carnival-like atmosphere.

The show ended its big top run in 2015 and last spring was resurrected for arenas. The re-staged show debuted in March in New Orleans.
