Driven.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

Founding and sustaining the Finding Voice Project, a literacy/arts/social-activism project for immigrant students at Catalina High School, with Josh Schachter, a local artist and educator.

What do you want people to remember most about you?

I hope people will remember me as a committed educator and social-change agent, someone working to create a more equitable and beautiful world.

How do you define a great leader?

A great leader is one who is responsive to the individuals he or she interacts with, as well as to the social contexts in which he or she works. A great leader is also creative, enthusiastic, compassionate, flexible, disciplined and intellectually engaged - always learning, critiquing, experimenting, revising and exploring.

What profession would you like to try other than your own?

National Park ranger.
