The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona is holding HungerWalk 2017 on Sept. 23 in two locations.

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizonaโ€™s largest annual event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23.

HungerWalk 2017 raises funds and awareness to support hunger relief efforts across five counties in Southern Arizona.

The event will be held in two locations, Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way, and La Posada, 350 E. Morningside Road in Green Valley.

The walks begin at 8 a.m. Registration is $25 for adults, $10 for children 6 to 12, and free for kids 6 and younger.

Adults will receive a HungerWalk T-shirt, while children will receive a โ€œHunger Heroโ€ cape.

The events will feature music, free breakfast, activities and entertainment.

The 1ยฝ-mile Tucson route loops through the Community Food Bank garden and warehouse, giving walkers a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of the 140,000 square-foot warehouse.

Prizes will be awarded to teams of walkers in many categories, including top fundraisers, largest team and best team spirit, among others.
