One of the President's Challenge Quilt, "Cry Me a River," by Diane Hartman, is on display during the Tucson Quilters Guild 37th annual Quilt Show, Quilt Fiesta at the Tucson Convention Center, 180 S Church Ave. The challenge was to create a small quilt, expressing it in such a way that the viewer would be able to understand the expression. The three-day event featured demonstrations, vendors, quilts on display and the 2015 raffle quilt. With paid admission door prizes were offered and all demonstrations and speakers were free. Is quilting hip these days?

Maybe, maybe not.

You can decide yourself at the 39th annual Quilt Fiesta, happening at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave., downtown Friday-Sunday.

Hundreds of quilts will be on display (awesome, right?), in addition to lectures, demos, door prizes and a vendor mall.

The fiesta runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. More info on the Facebook event page
