Six sites throughout Tucson handed out masks to residents as a part of the citywide #MaskUpTucson campaign. Each site, located in a respective ward, were stocked with 8,000 reusable fabric masks. Locations ran from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. or until they ran out of masks.

Mayor Regina Romero and Council Member Paul Durham personally handed out masks to drivers at the Donna R Liggins Recreation Center which serviced Ward Three of the city.

Staff working at sites wore appropriate PPE, disinfected hands often and practiced social distancing as much as possible as they worked with residents.

The City of Tucson continues to require people over the age of 5 to cover their nose and mouth with a face covering when in a public setting where continuous physical distancing is difficult or impossible to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19.)
