Some 30 riders on horseback embarked on the 26th Kino Cabalgata commemorating the ride of Father Kino from Tumacacori to San Ignacio, Mexico in 1700. The ride that pays homage to Kino's 75-mile, 24-hour journey to save an innocent man from execution culminates at Kino's tomb in Magdalena on Dec. 30.
