Oktoberfest at Trail Dust Town 1

Members of the Tucson International Folk Dance club dance to the music being played by Bouncing Czechs an Oktoberfest at Trail Dust Town.

Oktoberfest, Germany's ultimate kegger, has already come and gone, but Tucson still has plenty of Oktoberfest-themed activities in store for this month.

Several Oktoberfest celebrations take place this weekend, starting with a big party at Trail Dust Town, 6541 E. Tanque Verde Road, this Friday.

The event (with its free admission) runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature beers from Barrio Brewing, Borderlands, Iron John's, Thunder Canyon, Sentinel Peak and Uncle Bear's out of Ahwatukee. More info here

If you make it past Friday, head to Arizona Beer House, 150 S. Kolb Road, on Saturday for its second annual Very Arizona Oktoberfest, featuring German-style beers, German cuisine, contests, collectible steins and live music from Provoke the Yeti, Michael P. and the Gullywashers and Hank Topless. That event runs from noon to midnight.

Take your weekend beer fest celebrations up Mount Lemmon to Ski Valley on Sunday for the final weekend of its Oktoberfest festivities.

Other Oktoberfest must-attend events include one at Tucson Hop Shop from 5 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 4thtoberfest, a music-and-beer celebration on North Fourth Avenue from 1 to 7 p.m.
