Wednesday, the rockets’ red glare will be bursting in air. Check out some of the ways to see the Fourth of July fireworks and celebrate our nation’s birthday:

TUCSON

Fireworks on β€œA” Mountain

Fireworks shows will be held from Sahuarita to Marana.

Bring your lawn chairs, sit back and take in the colorful bursts at the annual β€œA” Mountain fireworks celebration. There will be food vendors selling hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream, and entertainment at the the Tucson Convention Center. And plenty of chances to ooh and aah no matter where you plan to take in the fireworks, which begin at about 9 p.m.

When: 7-10 p.m.

Where: Watch the fireworks for free from parking lot B (off Cushing Street between Granada and Church Avenue) or parking lot C (off Granada between Broadway and Cushing Street) at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.

Cost: Free.

Pro tip: Leave your car near the streetcar route, away from the TCC. Take the streetcar to the TCC and park your lawn chair there. The line of cars is real after the fireworks and you don’t want to get stuck in it.

Diamonds in the Sky Celebration

A 30-minute Fourth of July fireworks show starts after the baseball game Wednesday at Kino Sports Complex.

See some baseball, listen to live music, see the fireworks, win door prizes, $1 hot dogs and plenty of activities for kids β€” including a jumping castle, obstacle course, face painting, games and a bubble station. The 30-minute fireworks show begins after the game.

Get your general admission tickets are the Kino Administrative Offices at 2500 E. Ajo Way or the Guest Services window inside the stadium. Free parking if you buy tickets before July 4, $2 parking at the door.

When: 5-9:30 p.m.

Where: Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way

Cost: $4 per person, ages 5 and under are free.

Fourth of July Party at Sonoran Glass

Celebrate Independence Day with a BBQ, glass demos, workshops, water balloon fights and a view of the fireworks on β€œA” Mountain.

When: 6-10 p.m.

When: BBQ is 6-9 p.m. at $12 per plate and has to be pre-ordered no later than June 29, register at www.sonoranglass.org/product/buy-admission-and-bbq-food-for-4th-of-july-party. The balloon fight starts at 6 p.m. with soda and cookies for the kiddies inside the shop. See a live demo at 7:30 p.m. and don’t forget the glass workshops that range from $15-$25.

Admission: $5 admission for adults and kids under 12 are free. Workshops and BBQ are an additional cost.

Fireworks party at Hotel Congress

A fireworks party with live music runs till 11 at Hotel Congress.

Listen to music from the Street Blues Family and Quinn DeVeaux while you wait for the fireworks. Don’t miss out on the drink specials.

Where: Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St.

Cost: Event is free to attend, ages 21 and up.

ORO VALLEY

Oro Valley July 4 Celebration

Oro Valley celebrates the holiday with fireworks.

Your kids and your wallet are going to love this. This free event features a beer garden and plenty of activities for kids, like face painting, jumping castles, bubble balls and more. If you get hungry, buy from any of the several food trucks on site. The fireworks start about 9 p.m. and are right over the park.

Where: Naranja Park, 810 W. Naranja Drive.

Cost: Event is free and open to the public.

Swimming at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center

Splash around at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center to stay cool on the Fourth. The cost is $1 for children and $3 for adults.

Stay cool on the Fourth of July with a splash pad and water slide at a discounted price. There will be games and prizes for the children.

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: Oro Valley Aquatic Center, 23 W. Calle Concordia.

Cost: $1 for children and $3 for adults. Resident or nonresident welcome.

MARANA

Star Spangled Spectacular

Sahuarita is gearing up for its Red, White and Boom bash.

The Star Spangled Spectacular is a can’t-miss. There will be live music, food trucks, inflatables and water inflatables for the kids, a beer garden for the adults and some awesome fireworks. The fireworks show starts at about 9 p.m.

When: 5-9:30 p.m.

Where: Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road.

Cost: Event is free and open to the public. Bring some towels for the wet activities.

SAHUARITA

Face painters will be at work at Sahuarita Lake Park.

Red, White and Boom

Live music, food trucks, face painters, a boat-building contest and fireworks at 9 p.m.

When: 6-10 p.m.

Where: Sahuarita Lake Park, 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd.

Cost: Event is free and open to the public.

Whatever Floats Your Boat competition

On Wednesday night, homemade boats will race at Sahuarita Lake Park. The event is free for racers and spectators.

Whatever Floats Your Boat is a competition where participants bring their homemade boat (according to rules on materials used) or raft and race it on the lake. Does your boat have what it takes? Races start at 6:30 p.m.

When: 6-10 p.m.
