Jim Griffith, founder of the Tucson Meet Yourself festival, will perform at Sunday’s event.

The Tucson Musicians Museum is inducting folklorist Jim Griffith, the founder of one of Tucson’s most beloved and iconic annual festivals, into the museum on Sunday, Sept. 30.

Oscar Chavez, the longtime lead singer of the Rillito River Band, will also be inducted by the group at its 11th anniversary Celebration Of Music and Culture at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.

The event features a cash bar, live music by the museum inductees and kids in the museum’s Youth Music Workshop Program, and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Tucson Musicians Museum’s youth programs.

Sunday’s event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance at tucsonmusiciansmuseum.org or $15 at the door.
