Celebrate Japanese New Year in Tucson

Celebrate Japanese New Year and the Year of the Dragon at Tucson’s Yume Japanese Gardens.

The festival will feature Japanese music and the annual ritual of mochitsuki (the pounding of rice to make mochi), along with Japanese food, snacks and drinks.

At Yume, you’ll find eight styles of Japanese courtyard gardens, along with an art gallery, Japanese style buildings and more.

Admission is limited for the event, which will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $6 for children (ages 5 and under get in for free). Tickets must be purchased in advance through tucne.ws/1p0k.
