Belting out a good showtune does wonders for the soul and Fox Tucson Theatre is inviting you to do just that at singalong events this summer.

As part of its summer programming, the downtown venue is hosting a “Grease” singalong on June 29 at 7:30 p.m. Break out your Pink Ladies jacket and get ready to go back to the summer of 1979.

The fun isn’t just for adults. On July 21 at 2 p.m., the “Frozen” singalong will take what is sure to be a crowd of tiny Elsas and Annas to the fictional Disney kingdom of Arendelle.

If rock ‘n’ roll is more your speed, be sure to mark Aug. 24 on your calendar for the 7:30 p.m. Bohemian Rhapsody singalong.

Rounding out the programming on Sept. 14, is the Tucson Latina musical group Las Azaleas presenting “Como la Flor,” celebrating Selena. Audience members can sing along to some of the late artist’s greatest hits, starting at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10, with the exception of the Selena event, which are $15, through foxtucson.com.

The historic theater also has a number of classic movies on deck for those looking to beat the heat this summer including “Wizard of Oz” (July 7 at 2 p.m.), “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” (July 19 at 2 p.m.), “Death Becomes Her” (Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m.) and “Spinal Tap” (July 13, 7:30 p.m.).

We’ve had to say goodbye to some beloved musicians, athletes, actors and more. Here's a look at the stars we've lost so far in 2024, through May.
