One of the most exciting events this fall won't be found on a Tucson stage.
But "Stages of Imagination: The Iconic Broadway Designs of David Korins" will take us back to the time we spent at Centennial Hall on the University of Arizona campus.
That's where we saw a couple of the set designs featured in the exhibit taking over a big chunk of Tucson's Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures Sept. 20 through next May.
Korins created the exhibit specifically for the Tucson museum to showcase stage designs from the initial concept and process of the designs to how they looked in the performances.
We've seen Korins' work in action when Broadway In Tucson brought us "Hamilton" in 2021 and "Dear Evan Hansen" in 2023. And we'll see it again in December when "Beetlejuice the Musical" comes for a six-day run.
It's one of a number of exciting visual arts exhibits populating our museums and galleries.
There's also a number of concerts and plays heading our way as the days get shorter and (fingers crossed) cooler. Keep in mind schedules can change so check with the venue or presenter before heading out.
