2023 Tucson Festival of Books

Readers in the University of Arizona Bookstores tent at the 2023 Tucson Festival of Books.

The Tucson Festival of Books takes over the University of Arizona Mall and adjacent buildings on March 9-10.

The third-largest book event in the nation, it attracts about 300 presenting authors and an expected attendance of 130,000 to 140,000. The free festival is the largest nonprofit book festival in the country.

A panel discussion โ€” Navigating the Tucson Festival of Books โ€” to help you make the most of the festival will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, in Tucson Medical Centerโ€™s Marshall Auditorium, 5301 E. Grant Road.

During the free hour-long session, panelists will explain and explore:

The layout of the festival

Where to park

Whatโ€™s new or different

Tips for first-time festival-goers, as well as for those who go most every year

How to get the most out of the festival app

What last-minute volunteer jobs are still available

And as is the festivalโ€™s tradition, theyโ€™ll have a free raffle for some swell festival swag

The Marshall Auditorium is on the east side of TMC, facing Craycroft Road. Free parking is available in the Catalina Parking Garage, which is north of the TMC building.

The Star is a named sponsor of the festival and TMC is the presenting sponsor.
