βAmerican Idol,β the long-running talent show that launched the careers of Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Scotty McCreery and Fantasia Barrino, is holding Arizona auditions on Monday, Aug. 26.
βIdolβ hopefuls can sign up for a virtual face-to-face live audition in front of producers, who will provide real-time feedback that could lead to a spot on Season 8 on ABC.
βAmerican Idolβ moved to ABC in 2018 after a two-year hiatus. It aired on Fox for 16 seasons from 2002-16.
The virtual auditions constitute the first round of βAmerican Idol.β Those selected then move on to the live portion of the show.
This is the fifth year the show has hosted its βIdol Across Americaβ virtual auditions, a nationwide search that encompasses all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
