The legendary John Legend is making up his pandemic lost show at the AVA at Casino del Sol on Sept. 24 in one of several new shows added to the Tucson amphitheater's growing list of upcoming shows.
Legend is bringing his "Bigger Love 2021 Tour" nearly one year to the day that he was set to bring "Bigger Love 2020" to Tucson on Sept. 20, 2020. That show was cancelled courtesy the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11.
That's also when you can get tickets for the second date for the country band Midland, which is performing Oct. 8 and 9 at the AVA, 5655 W. Valencia Road. The band, which includes Sonoita native and frontman Mark Wystrach, goes on stage at 8 p.m. both nights.
Also new to the 2021-22 lineup: the R&B double bill of 1990s bands 98 Degrees and Bell Biv DeVoe on Oct. 22. Interestingly, both bands have their original lineups.
The shows join a lineup that opens Sept. 3 with R&B superstar Chaka Khan. RapperΒ Ice Cube is up next on Sept. 11; comedian George Lopez is set to perform Oct. 2 and the Beach Boys are here Nov. 2.Β
Meanwhile Desert Diamond Casino at 1100 W. Pima Mine Road still has not announced its return to live entertainment.Β
