The husband and wife duo of pianist Alexander Tenste and violinist Anna Gendler team up with cellist Robert Marshall in a Dove of Peace Lutheran Church benefit concert for Ukrainian refugees on Sunday, Feb. 11.

Tucson pianist Alexander Tentser is bringing his trio to Dove of Peace Lutheran Church’s popular Charity Concert Series on Sunday, Feb. 11, to benefit relief efforts in his war-torn native Ukraine.

The trio, which includes Tentser’s wife and longtime Tucson Symphony Orchestra violinist Anna Gendler and cellist Robert Marshall, principal cellist of the Sierra Vista Symphony, will perform Beethoven’s Piano Trio No. 1 and Brahms Piano Trio.

Tentser has performed with a number of Tucson ensembles, including True Concord Voices & Orchestra, led by Dove of Peace Music Director Eric Holtan.

The performance is part of Dove of Peace’s free concert series. There is no admission, but donations will be accepted to benefit Ukrainian refugees.

Dove of Peace has been hosting the popular concert series for 20 years, giving the proceeds to nonprofit organizations that offer services and assistance to the community.

Sunday’s concert begins at 2 p.m. at Dove of Peace, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road. For more information, visit doveofpeacetucson.org.

Stephen Foster's "Beautiful Dreamer" is on True Concord's "Songs of America" concert this weekend.
