Thomas Robert Quesnel Tucson Fire Department Arson Investigator
Passed away in the line-of-duty on March 14, 2014 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He remained at home in the loving care of his family. Born October 26, 1954 in Tucson, AZ to Robert H. and Mary Quesnel (Deceased). He attended Rincon High School, Arizona Western College and UofA. He served four years in the United States Coast Guard in Alaska and Texas. Upon return to Tucson, he joined his father in demolition, running "Quesnel Rentals". In 1989 Tom proudly became a part of the Tucson Fire Department and by 1994 joined the arson division where he trained and worked beside his cherished K-9 partners, "Sully" and "Keda". Tom is survived by his wife and soulmate Janet Lynch Quesnel; his son and best friend Bobby Quesnel; his stepson, Casey Camacho (Kathy); four amazing grandchildren, Sierra, Madison, Andrew and Seth who loved him as "Grumpy". Brother, Jerry (Cathy) Quesnel; twin sister, Kathy (Bill) Parks; in-laws the Lynches, Hussongs, O'Connors, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was respected for his knowledge and strong work ethic. He had a passion for outdoors and hunting and a love for his ranch in New Mexico the, "Rocking Q". He is adored by his family for always making our dreams come true. He has been our inspiration. We are greatful for each day he gave us and feel blessed to have been loved by him. Memorial Service on Thursday, March 27, 2014 will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Tucson Police Department, 270 S. Stone Ave and conclude at Fire Central. In lieu of flowers, Tom and family would prefer donations to the: Tucson Fire Department, 300 S. Fire Central Place, Tucson, AZ. 85701. Please write, "Tom Quesnel" in the memo line.
