Rev. Diane Dowgiert is resigning her post at the Unitarian Universalist Church.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson's 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 18 will focus on its two-year interim period, which started Aug. 1.

The five-member Transition Team will present the service "In the Interim: A Call to Ministry" and advise the Rev. Madeline Lyn Oglesby during her two year-position as minister of the congregation at 4831 E. 22nd St. Oglesby's first service will be Sunday, Oct. 16, according to press materials.

On Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12 the congregation will participate in a Start-Up Workshop led by a minister of the Unitarian Universalist Association Congregational Life Staff's Pacific Western Region.

A permanent minister should begin August 2018.
