200-year-old Torah

A yad or pointer is used to keep the place of the reader as they read a 200 year old Torah at the University of Arizona. Beth Nakhai, an associate professor in the Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, received the scroll in 2009. On Feb. 10 and 11, a rabbi will do restoration work on the document.
