Ricardo Pineda, the consul of Mexico,Β recognized Bishop Emeritus Gerald Kicanas for his service to the Mexican community.
Kicanas served as the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson for about 15 years. He was honored at the Ohtli Award Ceremony at the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson Friday, according to press materials.
