Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute

Pielstick hasn’t seen a lot of collaboration between the various Buddhist groups in town, though he and others are making efforts to change that.

The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, will host its monthly potluck and movie party 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 15.

The institute will show "Wheel of Time," a film about a Buddhist pilgrimage to Bodh Gaya in India.

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring food to share and a donation for the institute's monthly rent.
