Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute

Dean Pielstick, the kenpho of the Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, leads a Tibetan Yoga session at the group’s space. Pielstick wanted to change the fact that the local Buddhist organizations did not know much about one other.

The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, Suite 204, will host its monthly movie night 6 p.m. Friday, March 16.

The film "Western Tibet Kailash" tells the story of a Tibetan mountain and pilgrimage site, according to press materials. The movie night is free but participants can bring a dish to share or a donation to help with the institute’s rent.
