Dean Pielstick, the kenpho of the Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, leads a Tibetan Yoga session at the group’s space. Pielstick wanted to change the fact that the local Buddhist organizations did not know much about one other.

The Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 3400 E. Speedway, will host a potluck and movie night 6 p.m. Friday, May 20.

The film "Crazy Wisdom" is about a man who made Buddhist concepts easier for Westerners to understand, according to press materials.
