Parents are encouraged to talk with their children early and often on the dangers of underage drinking and riding with a drinking driver.

Having conversations with your kids about alcohol and the dangers of riding with a drunk driver early and often is one of the best ways to ensure they won't partake.Β

To help parents have those discussions, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Arizona has formed a partnership with Dunkin' Donuts to distribute its "Power of Parents" at participating locations on April 21.Β

β€œHaving this partnership with Dunkin' Donuts is invaluable to us. This gives MADD the opportunity to reach parents in a new and creative way,” said Jason Frazier, MADD AZ State Program Director. β€œParents can visit one of the 35 Dunkin’ Donuts locations on April 21st. They can pick up a donut with their children before school, pick up a Power of Parents handbook and have an intentional conversation with their children about the dangers of underage drinking, and the dangers of riding with a drinking driver.”

Books will be handed out at the following locations: 7805 N. Oracle Road, suite 101, 8002 N. Cortaro Road and 2553 N. Campbell Ave.

Parents of middle school or high school students can also download a free "Power of the Parents" handbook or register for a free 15-minute online workshop by clicking here.Β
