Here Weed Go! host Eddie Celaya chats with NFL legend and Heisman Trophy Winner Ricky Williams about his cannabis brand, "Highsman," and its roll out here in Arizona.

It's nearly Super Bowl season here in Arizona, but one grid iron legend is hitting the grass a little early with the rollout of his cannabis brand here in The Grand Canyon State.

Highsman, the cannabis lifestyle brand founded by Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL star Ricky Williams, is available as of Jan. 20 at Trulieve and Harvest-branded dispensaries throughout Arizona.

Trulieve, the nation's largest dispensary chain, acquired California-based Harvest in 2021, and between the two brands operates 20 locations in Arizona, with three in the Tucson area.

"Ricky was well-known for his belief in the power of cannabis during his playing days, and the Highsman brand reflects his values and passion for cannabis," said Trulieve CEO Kim Rivers in a press release. "We are proud to launch Highsman products in the Arizona market."

In order to grow its product in the Arizona market, Highsman also partnered with Abundant Organics, an established brand of organically grown cannabis available at dispensaries across the greater Phoenix area.

"Our expansion into Arizona is made possible through our retail partnership with Trulieve, and Abundant Organics, whose organic living soil cultivation techniques produce some of the cleanest and most flavorful flower I’ve tried," said Williams. "Both partners clearly see the Highsman vision and share the same enthusiasm for physical and mental healing as I do."

Williams will be in Arizona promoting Highsman's rollout at Trulieve and Harvest locations across the Phoenix metro area on Wednesday, Jan. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 26.
