The halo is only getting wider. Or in this case, bigger.

Known for their award winning edibles and infused cannabis products, Halo Infusions & Extractions recently announced they were set to break ground on the a $2.5 million state-of-the art kitchen.

“This is really the original vision of our founders,” said Murray Stein, Halo Infusions CEO.

The kitchen expansion was made possible after the company spun off from Halo Cannabis Dispensary a year ago, selling it's retail and cultivation licenses for around $30 million.

“Without the distraction of the demands of retail, we felt that the 10 years of infusion experience we’ve gained would prepare us for even greater opportunities," Stein said.

The new space, which is over 7,000 square feet and will provide enough space for seven separate production lines, also includes a huge refrigerated storage and distribution space.

That should help Halo Infusions scale up its production, with space for automated gummy and candy lines, beverage production and

“We’ve designed the space to employ an agile reconfiguration model that allows us to shift production lines based on our real-time needs and those of our customers," said Brandon Hamm, Infrastructure Manager at Halo Infusions.

Some of Halo Infusions' brands include Aunt Ellie’s backed goods; Cannabliss gummies and edibles, Canna Confections candies, Chronic Health tinctures and topicals and Pure & Simple cannabis beverages.

The new facility will also make a line of canine pet products under the Canine CBD Therapy brand, possible.

“Our unique whole-plant approach using RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) extraction methodologies allow us to retain more of the plant’s compounds than many other approaches,'' said Chad Johnson, Halo Infusions’ Infusion R&D Manager.

According to a press release, the company anticipates the new kitchen to come online and be ready for production soon, perhaps as soon as mid-2023.

“Using our new kitchen, our well-established current good manufacturing practices, our comprehensive testing program, and our state-wide distribution capabilities, we expect to become a real catalyst for maturity in our market,” said Halo Infusions CFO Linda Bell. “It’s going to be a terrific ride.”

Mike Tyson hold up a prototype of his Dash cannabis dry herb vaporizer. The device is the result of a partnership between Tyson 2.0 and Grenco Science.

It's not quite the square circle, but Mike Tyson is throwing his hat into a new ring.

That would be the vaporizer market, a notoriously hard one to crack, even for The Baddest Man on the planet. However, he has some heavyweight help after his cannabis company Tyson 2.0 partnered with Grenco Science, the company behind the G Pen vaporizer brand.

Their first collaboration: The Dash, a hand-held, Tyson-orange cannabis flower vaporizer.

“We are excited to announce the launch of the Tyson 2.0 Dash as our first collaboration of 2023," said Chris Folkerts, CEO of Grenco Science. "This partnership illustrates our alignment with Mike (the G.O.A.T.) on our top selling dry herb product. We are very proud of this partnership and excited to see its impact in the market."

The vaporizers dropped nationally on Wednesday, March 1 and are available both online through G Pen's website and at select dispensaries and smoke shops throughout the country, including right here in Arizona.

"It’s a privilege aligning with Grenco to continue fulfilling our mission of delivering high-quality cannabis products,” Tyson said in a press release.
