Accomplishments: As a freshman in 1996-97, Bibby led the Wildcats to an NCAA national championship. That year he was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and National Freshman of the Year (Basketball Weekly), and was named to the 1997 NCAA All-Final Four team.
As a sophomore in 1997-98, Bibby was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year and was a consensus first-team All-American selection. He started all 69 games he played at UA and is part of Arizona's Ring of Honor. He was selected No. 2 overall in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies, which is tied for Arizona's highest draft selection ever. He was inducted into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor in 2010.
The UA has retired Bibby's No. 10 jersey. Bibby also ranks in the top 10 in UA history in the following categories:

• Single-season 3-pointers: Ninth, 77 made (1997-98)
• Single-season 3-pointers attempted: Tied for ninth, 199 attempted (1997-98)

• Single-season steals: First, 87 steals (1997-98); and sixth, 76 steals (1996-97)
Bibby led the Wildcats in assists in 1996-97 (178, 5.2 per game) and in 1997-98 (199, 5.7 per game). He also led the team in steals in 1997-98 (84, 2.4 per game).
